Once our animals are helped with care and treatment through
The Hope Fund, they’re missing only one thing: a loving
home. If you’re interested in providing a lasting home
for a special-needs animal, call Harbor Humane Society at

Charlotte
Charlotte came into the shelter way back in October after being hit by a
car. She couldn't even stand up let alone walk. She is healed up now and
can't wait to get into her forever home. She is about 1 1/2 years old and
weighs about 45 pounds. See what she has to say about her self.

My name is Charlotte and I’m looking for a permanent home to be loved for
the rest of my life. My foster mom says I am a really good dog, I guess
because I can hold my water a long time and I know how to tell her when I
have to go. She says I have a sweet personality because I love to lean up
against her and lay my head on her leg. I mind very well and have lots of
energy but I calm right down when I am asked too. My foster dad says I am
the smartest dog in the world because I play fetch (with anything he
throws) and bring it back to him every time. That is soooo much fun! He
also says I would make a good watch dog because I don’t bark often but
when I do I sound like a big dog. My foster dad says I’ve proven to be
good with other dogs, children, and strangers. I’m kind of a housedog
because I’m a big, soft, lovable baby. I love to love and love to be
loved. I like being outside but I like being inside with my foster family
too. My foster mom and dad kept me because a car hit me and broke my
pelvis. I’m all better now but they have to make room to help another dog
– just like me. I will miss them but I’m really excited about my new life
with…possibly you?
Please consider making me your best friend in the whole wide world: I
will love you forever unconditionally!
Love,
Charlotte

Harrison
Harrison is a 30 pound shepherd mix. HHS found Harrison when responding to a report of a rabid dog in Allendale. Turns out Harrison was not rabid but had been shot repeatedly.
|
|
| |
After a careful and full examination it was determined that Harrison was shot in the head and side at close range. He suffered severe damage to the mouth, tongue and throat areas and his jaw was subsequently broken. He has already undergone one orthopedic surgery and will likely require several more over the next several months including throat and bone reconstructive surgery.
Would you be willing to give to The Hope Fund so that
he can have the surgery he needs? Please
send funds to the Harbor Humane Society. Please
make a note that your donation is for The Hope Fund
and Harrison ’s surgery. Or
make a contribution online now. |
